Proposal of a multi-purpose community lodge
kyaikthale

With the aim to diversify and further enhance the purpose and productivity of the Mingalar Bio Garden, we would like to propose that four locally designed community lodges are built on the garden’s surrounds, including facilities such as a dining hall, kitchen and western friendly toilet facilities. Accommodating a maximum of 16 guests at one time, the lodges will be built from local materials to ensure consistency with the surroundings and local labor will be used to assist with the construction. There are also plans for a small stage to be placed inside the dining hall – although this may sound overly extravagant, it will be sure to increase the community’s existing social cohesion and lead to plenty of opportunities for cultural exchange.

Minimal disruption to the lifestyle of children in the village and the school is highly encouraged and is described in the Do's and Don'ts.
